Missions
Trinity Presbyterian is committed to missions in Spartanburg, around the Upstate, and throughout the world.
Our Missions emphasis began in the early years of the church by supporting a number of missionaries through our general fund. This was a stretch for the church in the early days, but it was exciting.
After much study and prayer, we changed the way we support missions. Instead of taking money from the general fund, we started to support our missionaries through faith-promise giving. The faithful giving of Trinity's members is a testimony to God and his love for the world, and those who serve Him on the field. We currently support 18 missionaries. We also encourage our members to participate in short-term missions trips, local outreach to our community, and our Good New Club in a local elementary school.
The Mission Statement of Trinity's Mission Committee:
The Missions Committee will support the mission and vision of Trinity Presbyterian Church by:
Encouraging the church membership to be personally, financially, and prayerfully involved in community and worldwide missions.
Management and disbursement of missions giving, including assuring the financial responsibility of our missionaries.
Encouraging and equipping our membership in their role as missionaries both in our community and abroad.
